MARCH, 2005 Greetings Lions, Lioness &
Families, Spring
is just around the corner and our District Convention is less than 8 weeks
away. Have YOU registered yet? There is
still time for anyone wanting to meet other Lions and have a great time
learning about our Lions organization; and have fun while you’re at the
Convention. By the
time you read this, the Governor’s Raffle tickets should be in your
possession. I ask that you & your members consider buying all of these
tickets. Please bring unsold tickets to the convention or send them back to
PDG Harry Helwig. They will be needed during the Convention. You will
also need to make your room reservations before the hotels are full. There
are a few rooms left so you better act NOW.
The Eagle River Club has been working very hard to make this the best
convention ever so you don’t want to miss it. And here
is a reminder….Don’t forget to have the club treasurer complete the Parade of
Checks form and return it to me. Your club’s donations for this Lionisitc
year will be listed along with all the Lions/Lioness clubs in District 27-C2.
Each attendee will receive a donations report for the entire District. It will be interesting to see the
success and hard work put forth by our Lions/Lioness clubs. At this
special time of year when many of us remember the ultimate sacrifice made by
the only perfect man that ever walked on the earth, let us rededicate
ourselves to His example, that of serving those less fortunate. His unconditional love for each of us, His death on
a Roman cross and His Glorious Resurrection will once again be celebrated by
Christians the world over. The question is, do YOU KNOW HIM? Liz and
I wish all of our Lion/Lioness family and friends a very Blessed and Happy
